Engineering 343 and Physics 343 are the same course taught by the same
instructor. Engineering majors take EGR343 and physics majors take PHY343.
The major aim will be to give each student experience design and integration of
basic circuits into electronic instrumentation. This course will cover
numbering systems, Boolean Algebra, Karnaugh maps, the Quine-McClusky method,
decoders, counters, flip-flops, and advanced digital networks. Students will
also gain experience in computer programming, interfacing, and instrumentation
control. For this three-hour course, there will be two hours of lecture per
week and 3 hours of lab experience per week.
